In question-and-answer format, this pamphlet explains what HIV and AIDS are, what causes AIDS, the difference between AIDS and other STDs, how one catches it, symptoms, if it can be caught through social contact, how to avoid catching it, why we are concerned about AIDS. Emphasizes that sex is the main way people in Ghana get infected with HIV. Also discussion transmission through transfusions and childbirth. Dispels common myths about HIV transmission through daily activities. Discusses condom use and AIDS, the AIDS virus test, living with people who have AIDS and HIV. Includes a glossary. less
