Abstract: Contains 10 pages of information distinguished by colors: green, red, yellow and black. The green section (2 pages) explains what Africa Alive! is, its operational principles, its audience and message strategy, its project structure and approach. The red section describes the facts of HIV/AIDS prevalence in sub-Saharan Africa. The yellow section gives examples of 2 highly successful youth activities supported by Africa Alive! and JHU/CCP: 1) CECAFA soccer tournament : Breaking the silence about AIDS in Africa; 2) "Hits for hope" : Safer sex or AIDS : The choice is in your hands. It also lists participating organizations of these activities. The black sections are a list of frequently asked questions about Africa Alive! and the answers.
